Courses Offered 2011:

Sports Massage

Sunday Jan 9th

8am to 2pm $95 prepaid $105 at class

This course will give you the basics for Hands-on soft tissue manipulations when working on
an athlete on-site. You will learn basic stretches as well as techniques for working on-site while
the client is still in uniform. A pre-event massage can increase the athlete’s abilities during the
event as well as reduce their chance of injury. A post-event can keep down cramping and trigger
points, and flush the tissues for an athlete, professional or amateur.

Aromatherapy

Sunday Jan 16th

8am to 2pm $110 prepaid $120 at class

This is an introduction to Aromatherapy. Charts, uses, processes for extraction, blending, and
how to do it right instead of playing “mad scientist” looking for a smell you like. Use in your
massage, baths, lotions, as a perfume, to aid in certain physical or mental conditions; and “What
not to do”.

Hot Stone Massage (Including Aromatherapy)

Sunday Jan 23rd

8am to 2pm $110 Prepaid $120 at Class

For this Hot Stone Massage Class you will learn a hybrid style of Hot Stone Massage
Techniques. This is a combination of several styles using the best parts of each to learn a
comprehensive outline. You will also give and receive a Hot Stone Massage during the class
and learn the use of Aromatherapy Oils in performing this to enhance the clients’ experience.

Deep Tissue Mechanics

Sunday Jan 30th

8am to 2pm. $95 prepaid $105 at class

This is a "Hands-on" course and is designed to give a therapist basic mechanics and techniques
to perform deep tissue work, save energy and protect their body. The mechanics taught for the
basic Swedish massage are not good for normal therapeutic work. When trying to apply more
pressure than a Swedish massage the therapist needs different balance and positioning to best
use the body’s weight and leverage to achieve additional pressure while actually using less
energy than Swedish massage mechanics. These techniques also decrease the chance of carpal
tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, and cervio-brachial syndrome developing in the

therapist over the years. To best learn this you will also be taught the compression massage
used for sports massage. This massage can be used for pre/post event massage and can be used
during your everyday practice as well.

Chair Massage

Sunday February 6th

8am to 2pm $95 prepaid $105 at class

For this class we bring in 3 different types of Chairs. We do the Hands-On portion of the class

everyone can't run out and buy a new Chair we also teach you how to do a similar massage
using your regular portable table. We believe the student should be able to use what they learn
when they leave and not have to buy special equipment every time. During the introductory
portion of the class we also cover marketing and sales to try and use this in your everyday
practice.
